Masterclass on Metabolic Syndrome in PCOS organized at KIMS : A Pivotal Step Towards Enhanced Women’s Health

Hyderabad, India – The Masterclass on “Metabolic Syndrome in PCOS – The Worrisome Twosome”, hosted by The PCOS Society, India, in collaboration with KIMS Fertility Centre, Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences, culminated on Sunday, March 24th, 2024, marking a significant milestone in the advancement of women’s health.

Gathering at the esteemed KIMS Hospitals in Secunderabad, healthcare professionals converged for a day of profound learning and collaboration. Guided by an illustrious panel of international and national faculty members, participants embarked on an enlightening journey through the complexities of metabolic syndrome in PCOS.

Dr. S. Vyjayanthi, Convenor of the Masterclass and Head of Department & Consultant Fertility Specialist at KIMS Fertility Centre, expressed her delight at the event’s success. “The Masterclass served as a beacon of knowledge, illuminating the path towards a deeper understanding of metabolic syndrome in PCOS,” she remarked. “The engagement and synergy among participants underscored our collective commitment to advancing women’s health.”

Throughout the day, attendees immersed themselves in discussions spanning the spectrum of PCOS management, from elucidating pathogenesis to refining diagnostic approaches and exploring innovative preventive strategies. Notably, over 250 doctors from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana participated in the event, underscoring the widespread interest and commitment to addressing metabolic syndrome in PCOS within the region.

The Masterclass also offered attendees the opportunity to earn 2 credit points accredited by the Telangana State Medical Council, further enriching their professional development and continuing education endeavors.

Reflecting on the event’s impact, Dr. Duru Shah, Founder President of The PCOS Society, India, emphasized the importance of collective action in tackling the challenges posed by metabolic syndrome in PCOS. “By fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing, we can affect meaningful change and improve the lives of countless women affected by this condition,” she affirmed.
