Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India]: The Gems and Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) has organized the three-week-long 6th edition of the India Rough Gemstone Sourcing Show (IRGSS) in Jaipur.

Sugrive Meena, Commissioner of Customs, Jaipur inaugurated the IRGSS show in the presence of industry stakeholders on August 31. The show which features an assortment of rough emeralds displayed by the Gemfields-owned Kagem Mining Limited, Zambia, will end on September 20.

Sugrive Meena, Commissioner of Customs, Jaipur said, “The GJEPC deserves congratulations for successfully organising the sixth edition of IRGSS. The platform has simplified rough sourcing for our manufacturers without requiring them to visit the globe. You can always expect full support from the Customs Department when organising such events. I believe that in addition to emeralds, we should also import other precious stones such as rubies, which would aid in the development of the ruby industry in Jaipur.
